Our Top Picks
Buying a used or refurbished iPhone is a different decision from buying new. Renewed devices can offer a much larger storage tier or a Pro camera system for less than a new model, but condition, battery health, and warranty coverage vary between sellers. Choosing well means matching the model to your needs first, then checking how the device was restored and what protection you receive.
The picks below are all listed as unlocked and renewed, spanning several generations from the latest Pro Max to an older base model. Each one is described from its listing details, including storage, color, and model name. Use the list to decide which generation fits your budget band and feature needs before comparing individual sellers.

How to Choose
- Model generation: Newer generations keep software support longer, so choose the newest model that fits your budget.
- Storage tier: Pick 256 GB if you shoot a lot of video or store large apps, and 128 GB for lighter use.
- Battery health: Ask the seller for battery health data, since replacement batteries on older renewed phones can be a hidden cost.
- Warranty and returns: Check the seller’s warranty length and return window, because renewed devices carry more variability than new ones.
- Unlocked status: Confirm the phone is unlocked and supports your carrier’s bands, especially for eSIM use.
The Best Picks Reviewed
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max, US Version, 256 GB, eSIM, Deep Blue, Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is the newest model in this set and the most capable option in terms of display and camera. Its 256 GB storage and eSIM support suit heavy users and travelers. Because it is renewed, inspect the battery health and warranty before paying for the top tier.
Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, 256 GB, Black Titanium, Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone 16 Pro Max offers a large display and 256 GB of storage in the Black Titanium finish. It is a strong choice for buyers who want Pro-level hardware without the newest generation’s price. Check the seller’s restoration report for cosmetic and battery condition.
Apple iPhone 15, 128 GB, Black, Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone 15 in 128 GB is a balanced option for everyday use, with support that remains relevant for several years. It suits buyers who want a modern design and camera without the Pro-level size. Confirm the condition grade and return terms before ordering.
Apple iPhone 14, 128 GB, Midnight, Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone 14 in 128 GB is an older generation that remains a practical choice for light to moderate use. Its lower cost compared with newer models makes it attractive, but expect a shorter remaining software window. Battery replacement may be worth considering if health is low.
Apple iPhone 13, 128 GB, Midnight, Unlocked (Renewed)

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Renewed mean for an iPhone?
Renewed generally means the device was returned or used, then inspected, repaired if needed, and sold with a condition grade. The exact process and warranty differ by seller, so read the listing details carefully.
How long will an older iPhone receive software updates?
Apple usually supports each generation for several years, but the window shortens with age. Newer models give you more time before the software stops receiving updates.
Is 128 GB enough for most people?
For messaging, browsing, and streaming, yes. Frequent video recording or large offline libraries benefit from 256 GB.
Should I check battery health before buying?
Yes. Ask for the battery health percentage or a diagnostic report. A low figure means a replacement soon, which adds to the total cost.
